FCP transcoder alternative-EOS MOV to Apple ProRes no frame drops

I have Canon EOS 7D for excellent picture, and sometimes shoot movie with it. However, I could edit it on my iMac with Final Cut Studio 2. I am running Mac OS X (10.6.3) with quad core and 4G RAM. I then installed Canon EOS MOVIE Plugin-E1 for Final Cut Pro, and it helps me import the video without error message. however, I found that some clips are shorter than what they are really taken. It seems that some frames were dropped when transcoded to ProRes.

When looking for solutions to fix EOS plugin problem, I find Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as FCP transcoder alternative to convert EOS MOV to Apple ProRes no frame drops. It provides Apple ProRes 422, ProRes 422 (HQ), ProRes (LT) and ProRes (Proxy) and ProRes 4444 for editing in Final Cut Pro.

Below is the fast guide for converting Canon EOS movies to Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) with best quality.

Step 1. Import Canon footage to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as FCP transcoder alternative for Apple ProRes, click the "Add" button to import the H.264 .mov files from Canon 7D.

Step 2. Choose Apple ProRes 422 (HQ).
Click the "Format" option, and navigate to Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422(HQ) (*.mov) as output format. Click the "Settings" button and choose 1920*1080 from the drop-down box of video size to keep HD resolution.

Step 3. Convert Panasonic 1080p 28Mbps MTS to MOV for FCP.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the H.264 MOV to Apple ProRes converter will start converting Canon 7D video for Final Cut Pro.

You can then import the Apple ProRes 422 HQ video to Final Cut via File > Import > Files without any problem.
