Fix EOS plugin problem on FCP-Edit Canon 7D H.264 Movies on Mac
FCP transcoder alternative-EOS MOV to Apple ProRes no frame drops
I have Canon EOS 7D for excellent picture, and sometimes shoot movie with it. However, I could edit it on my iMac with Final Cut Studio 2. I am running Mac OS X (10.6.3) with quad core and 4G RAM. I then installed Canon EOS MOVIE Plugin-E1 for Final Cut Pro, and it helps me import the video without error message. however, I found that some clips are shorter than what they are really taken. It seems that some frames were dropped when transcoded to ProRes.
When looking for solutions to fix EOS plugin problem, I find Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as FCP transcoder alternative to convert EOS MOV to Apple ProRes no frame drops. It provides Apple ProRes 422, ProRes 422 (HQ), ProRes (LT) and ProRes (Proxy) and ProRes 4444 for editing in Final Cut Pro.
