Few second gap playing MTS/M2TS sequences on AC Ryan PlayOn?
When you want to upgrade digital camera to camcorders, you may notice that most HD camcorders are available with AVCHD format recording, e.g. the 2011 new models at CES: Sony HDR-CX700, Sony PJ30, Panasonic HDC-TM900, Canon HF R20 and HF M400. With the HDMI cable, it is easy to watch the recording on HDTV. You can even store them to NAS, or stream AVCHD to HDTV via HD media players like AC Ryan PlayOn.
However, there is obvious gap between the playback of each clips. One of the solutions is to join the related clips into a file in big size. Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac is the recommended professional AVCHD joiner without re-encoding.
Follow the guide below, and you do not have to experience the several second pause when watching AVCHD files. Here we take MTS movies from Panasonic TM900 as an example.
Step 1. Import AVCHD files to Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac.
When Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac is run, it can automatically detect and pop up a wizard for you to capture video from camcorder. For the MTS clips on NAS or external hard drive, just click the "Add file path" button and browse for the folder with the .mts files.
Step 2. Join MTS clips into a movie without conversion.
For the first lossless movie, you can select the .mts files from the Resource tab or Camcorder tab, drag and drop to the timeline. To get another file as output, just click the "Create New Movie" button, select other .mts files and then drag and drop short clips to the new movie ID. You will get two files as output.
Step 3. Export MTS without recompression.
Click the "Export" button, and then the OK button. The Mac lossless MTS joiner for AC Ryan PlayOn will start combining short clips without changing the native format.
You will get the joined movie in a few second, and do not find the few second gap when playing MTS/M2TS sequences on AC Ryan PlayOn or other players like Xtreamer Pro, TVIX, etc.
Tips:
Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac also provides conversion from AVCHD to Apple ProRes 422, 4444 and AIC. If you are running iMac/Macbook with PowerPC processor, you can try Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac to convert H.264 MOV files to Apple ProRes or AIC.
